It tastes wonderful and is HIGHLY nutritious with minerals, nice fat content and all. As I always recommend, BREAST MILK is best, but in case of a situation where breastmilk is unavailable, this can be a healthy alternative. ***ALLERGY WARNING: This recipe is recommended per my own experience. I don't recommend this recipe for young babies under the age of 9 months. Babies can be very sensitive to nuts and seeds and should be introduced to them slowly nearing the end of the first year. My own baby ingested flaxseed at around 6 months accidentally, as it was in a smoothie, and had a very strong reaction where she developed swelling and hives. Somewhere between 11-12 months her allergies to the flaxseed had disappeared and she drank it happily since that time. The coconut (oil) is another food to introduce slowly as well.
